Contrast Features

The technology used to deliver color rich and well-contrasted footage is different between the Sony XBR65X900E and Sony XBR65X750D.

The technology in the newer XBR65X900E undoubtedly allows it to take the lead over the older 750D.

Sony XBR65X900E Colors

The 900E TV has TRILUMINOS Display to enhance colors for a more realistic viewing. A wider palette of colors come across and there is a wider color gamut. TRILUMINOS particularly succeeds in reproducing the highest quality reds, greens, and blues, which are some of the hardest colors to get right.

This also allows skin tones to be sleekly displayed thanks to the more precise color gradiation.

The Sony XBR65X900E comes with a 4K HDR Processor X1 which has Object-based HDR remaster and Super Bit Mapping. This gives purer colors at higher brightness levels.

Precision Color Mapping is a technology that optimizes each color uniquely in real time. This gives a rich saturating look to each and every color.

The 750D certainly has a lower quality of color display and less tech for it compared to the 900E.

It uses the same Precision Color Mapping for optimizing colors in each scene but lacks the newer processor and TRILUMINOS tech that so profoundly crafts a beautiful picture in the 900E.
