Dyson V10
The Dyson V10 is second to only the V11 in the famous Dyson V cordless stick vacuum series. It is a very capable and well-rounded product that makes it stick out in the vacuum market, especially compared to other stick vacuums. The powerful Dyson V10 digital motor is as strong as many corded upright vacuums. With 125,000 rotations a minute, this vacuum generates 151 airwatts which makes it highly effective soft and hard surfaces, with all kinds of dirt and debris. Just as with many other models, the V10 has a HEPA filter that captures the smallest particles down to a size of 0.3 microns. In addition to this, the dustbin is 0.76 litres which is very large for a stick vacuum.
The battery of the V10 will last for a full hour when used in a more conservative cleaning mode. This is more than enough for the majority of times that it will be used. A long battery life like this is useful for when cleaning many other surfaces as well as on the floor, such as on upholstery or stair. The V10 comes with a docking station where it is left when not in use. Charging the V10 on the docking station takes around 3.5 hours. It should be noted that the battery life will be much shorter than 60 minutes if the Max power mode is used on the V10.
An important aspect of the Dyson V10 and all other models in the series is the long list of included accessories with each model. These allow for more versatile cleaning and high performance in a range of cleaning situations. A slight difference in accessories is the main difference between the Dyson V10 Absolute and Animal, although the majority of them are actually the same and are as follows:
- Wand
- Charger
- Wall Mount
- Combination Tool
- Crevice Tool
- Mini-dusting brush
- Mini-motorized tool

Differences of Dyson V10 Absolute vs Animal
In this section, we will take you through the few minor differences between the Dyson V10 Absolute and Animal versions.
Fluffy Cleaning Head
The main difference between these two versions is that the V10 Absolute comes with the Fluffy cleaning head. This is designed to be used on hard floors as it is soft and won’t scratch the floor. On the other hand, the Animal has every other attachment and tool except this cleaning head. One thing to note is that this tool can be purchased separately and added to the Animal version, although when it is part of a package it is cheaper.
Color
The different versions of the Dyson V10 have different color schemes. Whether or not this matters or which one is better is dependant on personal preference. The V10 Absolute has a copper-colored stick with the vacuum and cleaning head being grey. Next, the V10 Animal has the same grey cleaning head and vacuum component but has a purple stick.
Price
As the Dyson V10 Absolute comes with the extra Fluffy cleaning head, it is a little bit more expensive than the V10 Animal. The Dyson V10 is quite an expensive vacuum anyway. Spending the extra money on the Fluffy cleaning head is pretty necessary if you have many hard floors.
Final Word
As the Dyson V10 Absolute and Animal are the same product at the core, there is very little difference between these two versions. The only differing factor worth considering is the Fluffy cleaning head. Anyone who has a home which is mostly hard floor, especially with surfaces you don’t want to scratch, should certainly get the Absolute version. If your home is fully carpeted then there would be no point and the Animal version would be more than enough. In regards to design, if you prefer the color scheme of one over the other you could purchase then add or a not use the Fluffy cleaning head.
