A strip bar is at the base of the screen and provides access to the apps installed on the LG. Major streaming services and other online service providers apps are compatible with the OS, such as Netflix and Youtube. Voice Mate is a technology the LG Magic Remote control works with in order to enable voice control. This is operated by holding down the microphone button. Color Technology and Black Level
The LG UJ7700 is a high-quality TV with multiple pieces of hardware working together to achieve their picture quality. Colors produced by the TV work well in both dark and light settings. Technologies working together to achieve this include:
- IPS Panel for deep black level and native contrast ratio
- Active HDR with Dolby Vision
- True Color Accuracy
- ULTRA Luminance
- Wider Color Gamet
- Color Master Engine
- Active Depth Enhance
- Local Dimming
Whilst the LG UJ7700 does have well-equipped specs, it misses out on some of the best coloring technologies that have been produced by LG. Our overview of the superior LG OLED B7 vs LG OLED C7, included Billion Rich COlors as well as Nano Cell Display.
Light and Contrast Technology
The contrast ratio of the LG UJ7700 is a little low, but the performance is still decent regardless. The main implication of this is the lowered ability of the TV to produce shadows when displaying HDR in vides in low settings. In a lighter room these become clearer.
The refresh stated by LG is a little deceptive as the technology is stated to be TruMotion 120, leading a buyer to assume that the refresh rate is 120Hz. In fact, it is only 60Hz which is a little less smooth than 120Hz.
The sound quality of the UJ7700 is decent, although it isn’t anything special. Relevant audio specs include a 2.0 Channel, 20 watts, Ultra Surround, Hi-Fi Audio, and a Smart Sound Mode. As ever, for the best experience ut us highly advisable to get additional home entertainment speakers.
The LG UJ7700 series offers a decent low to mid-range option for a 4K UHD experience, although you will find higher spec and more impressive TVs elsewhere.
